Packing at LJ HUB
We stock boxes from small to extra-large, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, tape, document mailers and tubes. Fragile items (electronics, glass, framed art) get double-boxed on request. Packing starts at $5 plus materials.
Tip: carriers charge by whichever is bigger, actual weight or box size. Bring the item unpacked and we’ll pick the smallest safe box to save you money.

What’s the difference between FedEx Ground and Home Delivery?
Same network and price class. Ground goes to businesses Monday–Friday; Home Delivery goes to residences Tuesday–Saturday, so a home address can even get a Saturday delivery at no extra charge.
When is the last FedEx pickup?
FedEx Express and Ground pick up from LJ HUB every weekday afternoon. Bring it before 4 PM to go out the same day; ask the store for today’s exact time.
Can I drop off a prepaid FedEx return?
Yes. Bring the package with the label on it, or show us the QR code and we print the label. You get a drop-off receipt with the tracking number.
Do you ship FedEx internationally?
Yes, FedEx International Priority and Economy to 220+ countries. We complete the commercial invoice with you at the counter.
How much does it cost?
It depends on weight, size, distance and speed. A 5 lb box from Queens to Los Angeles is typically around $20–30 by Ground; overnight envelopes start higher. We quote before you pay. Request a quote.
Is it insured?
FedEx includes $100 of declared value. Declare more for valuable items; we recommend it for electronics and jewelry.
What can’t be shipped?
Cash, lithium batteries shipped loose, aerosols and flammables, perfume by air, alcohol (without a license), firearms, perishables without special packaging, and anything illegal to possess at the destination. Phones and laptops are fine when the battery is installed in the device. Ask us if you’re not sure.
